Machine Intelligence

Machine or artificial intelligence is a branch of research with the goal to imitate human (and sometimes animal) abilities to solve problems. As John McCarthy tried to define the machine intelligence in 1956, it is "making a machine behave in ways that would be called intelligent if a human were so behaving."
