I am interested in the mathematical underpinnings of decision-making in dynamic and uncertain environments, more specifically in the fields of optimization, control, game theory, behavioral economics, networks and stochastic systems. - December 2024: Dinesh Patra receives the prestigious IEEE CSS Graduate Collaboration Fellowship, and will visit Prof. Shaunak D. Bopardikar of Michigan State University, USA.
- August - Nov. 2024: Abhishek Mishra visits University of Queensland to carry out collaborative research with Prof. Rahul Sharma and Prof. Wayes Tushar.
- September 2024: William E. Ebenzeraj starts PhD at UCSD.
- August 2024: Presented our work on distributionally robust optimal control at the Learning and Control Colloquium 2024 at IIT Bombay.
- December 2023: Inducted to the Indian National Academy of Engineering as a Young Associate by for excellence in engineering research.
- December 2023: Our paper with C. H. Leung, W. Ebenzeraj and Prof. Philip E. Paré was shortlisted for the best student paper award at Indian Control Conference (ICC), 2023.
- December 2023: Elevated to the Senior Membership of IEEE.
- December 2023: Two papers were presented at the 62nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), Singapore.
- September 2023: Arghya Mallick defends his MS thesis and starts PhD at TU Delft. Congratulatons to Arghya!
- August 2023: Visited Systems and Control, IIT Bombay and presented our work on game-theoretic mitigation of spreading processes.
- August 2023: Hosted Prof. Philip E. Paré from Purdue ECE for two weeks.
- August 2023: My former advisee Atharva Navsalkar starts PhD at University of Michigan. Congratulations and best wishes!
- June 2023: My students Urmee Maitra and William E. Ebenzeraj visited Prof. Philip E. Paré's group at Purdue ECE for two months.
- Summer 2023: Our research was presented at ACC 2023 by Urmee Maitra and William E. Ebenzeraj, at VTC 2023 by Simran Kumari, and at ICRA 2023 by Atharva Navsalkar.
- August 2022: Our proposal on inferring network structure from epidemiological data, jointly with Prof. Philip E Paré from Purdue ECE has been selected to receive funding from joint NSF-DST Collaboration Program supported by Technology Innovation Hub at ISI Kolkata.
- November 2022: Project titled "Distributed Risk Sensitive Model Predictive Control for Safe Navigation in Multi-agent Systems" carried out by my student Atharva Navsalkar has been awarded the most innovative project in the UG Category by "AI and Technology Research Park (ARTPARK) at IISc, Bangalore.
