Switching to Online Classes with Zero Gap on March 18^th 2020

IIT Bhubaneswar had the last class with physical presence (offline) and 17th March 2020 and switched to online classes on 18th March 2020 with zero gap and the Spring 2019-2020 semester was completed on-time as per the academic calendar with the enthusiastic participation of the students and faculty though initially the students faced some challenges in accessing the live lectures at times. Microsoft Teams was used for this purpose.
On the insistence of Prof Kumar, training sessions were organized to the faculty members during the first two weeks of March 2020. That has come very handy in the online education process not only without a gap, but also in high standards. Prof Raja Kumar personally encouraged the faculty to innovate and use different pedagogical practices in the process.
