Arnab accomplished his Ph.D. in 2010 from IIT Delhi as a National Doctoral Fellow on macro-scale modeling of two-phase flow in a trickle bed reactor under the supervision of Professor K.D.P. Nigam. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Alberta, Canada, he worked with Professor Subir Bhattacharjee on developing a process simulator to identify mechanisms of destabilization and breakdown of thin liquid films under the influence of external electric fields. He also investigated the fundamental approaches to address rheology of complex fluids which provide new insights in enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques, micro-scale fluid transport modeling, and reservoir simulation. He joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur in 2013.
