We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for ambitious PhD candidates to join our dynamic research group. Our team is dedicated to fostering innovation and excellence in theoretical and computational materials science. We seek passionate individuals eager to contribute to groundbreaking research and make significant academic advancements.

At present, we are looking for the candidates who are interested in working on one of the following themes:

• Multiscale modeling of electromigration in metallic interconnects

• Effective temperature thermodynamics

• Mathematical and computational modeling of epitaxial growth

• Kinetic Monte Carlo simulations of microstructure evolution

As a member of our group, you shall be involved in exploring some exciting topics during your research. You shall have the opportunity to learn several sophisticated tools on conventional and accelerated molecular dynamics, kinetic Monte Carlo computations, continuum simulations, statistical analyses, and machine learning applications. We are looking for candidates with backgrounds in metallurgy, materials science, physics, nanotechnology, and mechanical engineering.

For the upcoming session, the applications are being accepted through the admission portal of IIT Kharagpur. We shall be selecting candidates in our group through the admission channels of the Dept. of Metallurgical & Materials Enggineering. The exact scope of the doctoral research will be decided after considering the academic background and interest of the candidate. It is preferable (but not compulsory) if the candidate has some experience (through internships or projects) and inclination towards programming, simulations, or mathematical analysis.
