In this paper, we present a system for fractal scene synthesis of natural scenes. It is a sort of multilevel editor and simulator where there are features to compose small images into a complete one. The elementary images used in the composition can either be generated by a recursive definition of an Iterated Function System or be simple geometric shapes. The editor has a special GUI for graphically expressing affine transformations from which their mathematical forms are computed. We show the performance of our system through the synthesis of a number of natural looking images.
